Game Changers is an exciting new community engagement project which we launched in January 2019 to coincide with the fifth anniversary of creating our Dartford group back in January 2014, and is specifically aimed at offering volunteering opportunities while increasing participation and further volunteering opportunities to specific under-represented groups:
- BAME (Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic)
- People with disabilities
- 14-25 year olds
- People with low socio-economic background
Recruitment to the Game Changers project is ongoing and applications or enquiries are always welcome.
Our Game Changers workforce will endeavour to engage with people from the above groups, focusing on improving both physical and mental well-being in a safe environment using qualified and enthusiastic volunteers.
We aim to enable people to build and maintain connections while learning new skills and enhancing their own sense of well-being.
Our key principle is to become Game Changers to as many people as we can in 2019, and build the foundations of continued participation, either as volunteers or participants in our own unique running environment.
We offer a number of different courses and workshops to support our Game Changers Volunteers, enabling them to support our participants with knowledge and confidence.
